Heya! 👋 Nice to meet you! I'm Katia, a Senior Product Designer & Illustrator born in Barcelona, Spain, and currently based in Inverness, Scotland.
I enjoy turning complex ideas into easy and intuitive products. I've been part of all kinds of companies, from early stage startups where I was the only designer to large corporates with larger design teams, crafting products used by customers like Dropbox, Algolia, JustEat, S&P Global, and Pendo amongst others.
Being involved each and every step of their creation, from the initial user and competitors research, and ideation to the prototyping and its launch and further evolution; as well as creating illustrations, specially mixing 3D with hand drawn elements. And lately I've been having some fun playing around with Midjourney and designing for VR.
I started as a designer 10 years ago following my true passion, after having worked as a Spanish transcreator, creating copy and translating interfaces for companies like LG, Samsung, Kipling, Gear4music, or SAK Project.
In my spare time you can find cycling and hiking around or exploring the Scottish Highlands. Additionally, I recently launched a ChatGPT bot to help other product designers and PMs to find jobs matching their requirements, amidst the current situation in the tech industry; and I'm currently working on launching a mobile app using AI to create tailored nutrition and training tips, and learning to design with Figma and Unity for VR and AR to launch a new application for the Meta Quest store –– keep an eye! 👀

She helped transform our Pendo guides and email templates, and she utilized her developer chops to help us integrate Auth0. Katia had to navigate several internal changes during her time at Cobalt.
